ok hun im a hair designer and with ur curly hair u will need to get it cut to about an inch,,,,then the styling aid is the tool go to where they sell redken and buy some cement yes thats what its called apply to damp hair and u will have your spikes hun but do member u will need to get this recut every 3 wks in order 4 it to stand up ok have a spiky hair day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well use tons of gel and since u have curly wavy hair instead of rubbing it backwards stick ur fingers with gel slightly on your head but from the back going towards to the front then just add hair spray and just with ur hand pick them upwards.
