if you want it short, get a rihanna cut, or little bit longer version.

If you have it long, get some major side bangs sweeping of your face, and keep some layers, cause layers keeps your hair looking up to date

if you want to straighten it or die it in a different color you can. But it actually depends on the structure of your face. But usually people who have curly and wavy hair likes to straighten it, so if you think it is pretty, you can straighten it, and with the layers, it will look really nice. or you can make big waves in your hair which also looks fabulous on many people. is strictly your choice, but straightening it will make you look like a whole new person, if you had curly and wavy hair before.... ^_^
