How do I keep my wavy hair straight???

I have thick, wavy hair that it still fine, but although I like to wear it straight, it takes forever to get it that way and then after a few hours it starts to just flip up at the ends, which I find to be very annoying. How do I keep it straight? I have straightening creams and gels, but they never make it stay straight. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I've found that straightening gels only work well when used in combination with a straightening iron.

Some people feel that it damages their hair, so make sure to use a conditioner that will help keep your hair in good shape.

Prices for straighteners range. Some go for over a hundred dollars, but I think paying that much is completely unnecessary.

I found a great Revlon straightener at Wal*Mart for about forty dollars.

My hair's very thick and sometimes refuses to straighten when I try to straighten too big of a section of hair, and pieces would flip out at the end.

So clip up the top layer of your hair and straighten little sections of the lower layer. Once the lower layer is as straight as you want it to be, gradually let more hair down to straighten it in thin sections as you go. Since your ends tend to be unruly, hold the straightener towards the bottom for a couple of seconds extra.

Although it seems like the process takes forever, eventually you'll find that it's easier to do and you can accomplish straightener your entire head of hair in less than half an hour-- though when I first started straightening my mess of thick hair it took about forty-five minutes to an hour.

buy a straightener. I don't know if you have one or didn't mention it. Try the Conair StyleX. you can get it from walmart for 30 bucks and works good. I have the same problem :) lol sucks. But you can play up your curls by scrunching your hair with mousse.

Start off with a straightening shampoo and conditioner like Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight shampoo %26amp; conditioner (it's amazing!). Then try a John Frieda straightening serum on damp hair (not soaking wet, but not dry either), and then blow-dry your hair straight with a paddle brush. If it's still not straight enough go over whatever pieces that are bothering you with a ceramic flat-iron.

ok mine is the same way. just when you wake up in the morning, wet your hair completely. and then blow dry it and while you blow dry your hair be brushing it. make sure you get every part of your hair and it will stay straight the whole day.

Invest in a better pair of straighteners :)

Although they're expensive, and lots of people say they're not worth it, GHDs are honestly the best. I have a pair and I have very curly hair. I can straighten my hair in about 5-10 minutes and it will stay that way all day. They're brilliant. :)

Or, alternatively, you could have your hair chemically straightened. Ask at your local salon to see how much it would cost :)

Well, you can make your wavy hair straight by:

~First, 30 mis. before you take a bath, apply coconut oil in your hair to have a soft %26amp; gentle hair.

~If you will take a bath, apply shampoo that has water to prevent dandruff and itchiness. If your shampoo is 10 ml, water is also 10 ml. Rinse.

~ Apply conditioner. Leave it for a couple of minutes the rinse it from scalp through the tip of your hair.

~ Never use hair dryer because it will make your hair dull %26amp; dry. Use your electric fan and it must be half- dry only.

~ Apply Hair shining or leave on/ wax on your hair to make a perfect look.

These things are made often. Every month, have some hot oil treatment on a salon.
